Ubbu Workshop
This workshop offers a playful and accessible introduction to computational thinking, a fundamental skill for developing logical reasoning and structured problem-solving.
Through a set of practical activities, students will explore fundamental concepts of computer science, such as algorithms and conditions!
The workshop will be held on ubbu, a Portuguese platform for teaching computer science and programming to students in the 1st and 2nd cycles of basic education. In addition to these concepts, the curricula on the platform are aligned with essential learning outcomes, integrate with STEAM content, and explore the topics of t he 17 SDGs defined by the UN.
Spectrum Workshop
Introduction to computational thinking through experience with the ZX Spectrum, one of the first personal computers, through a workshop for children aged 7 to 9:
• Historical context (the first computers at home)
• Demonstration of games from the season
• Introduction to basic concepts of algorithms, logic and conditions
• Practical experience:
• Real ZX Spectrum USB keyboards connected to the FUSE
• Simple exercises in BASIC
